Lion's Gate is in the process of choosing a director for the upcoming movie The Hunger Games, which is the first part of a Suzanne Collins-authored trilogy that many think could be the next Twilight-style saga in popularity. Gary Ross, Sam Mendes and David Slade are considered the favorites right now, but Lion's Gate is also meeting with Andrew Adamson, Rupert Sanders & Susanna White. Francis Lawrence is also considered a candidate. The decision should be made sometime next week.
